SEDD announces Readiness of Work at Distance
Sharjah Economic Development Department confirmed its readiness to activate the remote work system for some categories of employees, for a period of two weeks, which can be extended from Sunday 15 March 2020. Such thing is part of the precautionary and preventive measures against the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is done in order to reinforce the series of preventive measures that UAE takes to ensure the health and safety of society, and in line with the decisions and circulars issued by the federal and local authorities in the country,

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” has intensified its control campaigns on economic establishments whose activities are linked to the health and safety of society, in line with the decisions and circulars issued by the federal and local authorities in UAE to take the necessary precautions. Such thing was done after the decision to close all cinemas, amusement parks, amusement and electronic games centers, bodybuilding and fitness gyms from16th of this month to the end of March 2020, as part of the measures taken by the country to prevent Coronaviruses (COVID-19).
SEDD in 2019: Distinguished Achievements and Initiatives
Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” achieved many achievements and accomplishments in 2019. SEDD, ESMA hold Workshop in Khor Fakkan
Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” in cooperation with Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), organized introductory meeting about “Manaa” federal system in Khor Fakkan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The workshop, which was presented by number of officials from different agencies and department, aimed at introducing the mechanisms and regulations approved by the authority, the most important laws adopted by the Authority and in introducing the “Manaa” federal system.
